3. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
GEM-ROCK is an extremely strong and durable epoxy bonding agent of specially formulated resins and hardeners for stone and aggregate for overlay applications.

GEM-ROCK exhibits superior adhesion to most surfaces such as concrete, metal, wood and fiberglass and has excellent moisture, thermal shock and impact resistance.

GEM-ROCK is a special crystal clear formula that enhances the natural beauty of light stone or aggregate and is ideal as a seal coat for maintenance and touch up applications.

GEM-ROCK is 100% solids epoxy and is available in regular set and fast-set cold weather formulas. GEM-ROCK is ideal for use as a primer coat or glaze coat for overlay applications.

4. APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
  1. New concrete surfaces shall be cured for a minimum of 21 days prior to installation of GEM-ROCK All subsurfaces shall be clean and free of loose material, dirt, paints, sealers, dust, oils, moisture and frost Ambient and surface temperature shall be above 50’F and below 900F. (Consult with Polygem’s technical department far instructions on application temperatures above or below stated range.)
  2. Apply a prime coat by roller, brush or spray to all surfaces to be resurfaced with GEMROCK applied at a rate of 200 square feet per gallon.
  3. Combine 3 Parts A with I Part B and mix with a slow speed paddle drill or drum mixer for 2 minutes while being careful not to aerate the mixture. Add between 100 lbs and 125 lbs of dry selected aggregate and thoroughly mix for 3-5 minutes to fully coat and wet out the mix.
  4. Pour out aggregate mixture and spread out evenly over area with a rake or strike board to obtain a minimum thickness of ¼”. Use a trowel and tamp and compact the aggregate to obtain a tight arid dense layer. Use a release agent to trowel the surface smooth.
  5. Clean all tools and mixing equipment with #20 Solvent after use.
  6. Allow 12 hours for GEM-ROCK to cure prior to exposure to traffic and protect the GEM-ROCK form any rain or extreme temperature conditions. Full cure time will be affected by temperature and moisture arid always test the GEM-Rock before use or physical contact.
