3. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
POLYBAC #306 is a 100% solids, abrasion resistant, ceramic filled epoxy for resurfacing areas exposed to extreme wear and high temperatures.

POLYBAC #306 is formulated to be applied at room temperature and will withstand temperatures of 400°F. Typical applications include coal feeders, dryers, hoppers, elbows and chutes.

POLYBAC #306 is non-sag and can be applied overhead or vertically. The ceramic filled epoxy can be applied to most clean surfaces and smoothed to conform to various shapes.


4. APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Sandblast or scarify surface to eliminate all surface scale, rust and unclean matter. Wipe surface with clean cloth soaked with POLYBAC #20 Solvent.
  2. If sandblasting is not available, wire brush, disc grinder ora coarse sandpaper may be used. Clean with a soil free cloth, soaked with #20 Solvent.
  3. The substrate must be free from all contamination such as oil, grease, rust, mill scale, water, release agents or soil. Mix 4 parts A (Resin) to 1 part B (Hardener) on a separate board until uniform in color.
  4. Apply a thin layer of POLYBAC #306 WEAR SURF AR and rub into the surface, then proceed to build up to desired thickness. Layers should not exceed 1/4” at one time to insure proper cure.
  5. The cure can be accelerated by waving a torch over the surface for about thirty minutes or heat Part A (Resin) to 100° F before mixing. This process will accelarate the cure but also shorten the working life. Material is sensitive to varying temperatures.
  6. A smooth slick surface can be accomplished by dipping your trowel into #20 Solvent then smoothing over the already applied POLYBAC #306 WEAR SURF AR.
  7. Do not apply below 50° F without heating the material and substrate to temperatures above 80° F. Clean tools with #20 Solvent and clean skin or clothes with soapy water.
