3. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
POLYBAC® #500 is a single component, silicone adhesive sealant which cures to a tough, rubbery solid at room temperature on exposure to water vapor in the air (acetoxy cure).
POLYBAC® #500 can be applied overhead without sagging. Adheres to clean substrates such as: metal, glass, most woods, ceramics, painted surfaces and many other substrates.
POLYBAC® #500 was formulated to perform at temperatures ranging from -86°F to 400°F continuously and at 425°F intermittently.
APPLICATIONS: Gaskets in heating and refrigeration units, applying brackets or nameplates, sealing windows, formed-in-place gaskets, anti-abrasion coating, sealing marine cabins, caulking joints and applying ceramic wear tiles.
POLYBAC® #500 can also be used as a sealant for venting high efficiency furnaces.
SPECIFICATIONS: Conforms to MIL Spec. MIL-A-46106A, Amend. 2, Type 1.

4. APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Surface must be clean, dry and free of dirt and oil. Do not apply if frost is present.
- Cut tip to desired bead size. Dispense with caulking gun.
- Apply sealant at 45° angle by pushing sealant ahead of nozzle.
- Work material with putty knife or similar tool.
- Allow 30 minutes to touch; 24 hours for full cure and strength.
