Lay out the tree root pattern constructed out of ½” CDX plywood and tree trunk shell constructed from concrete "Sono Tubes". Spray foam or foam blocks can also be carved to achieve rough layout proportions. Additional structural reinforcement is typically constructed from welded steel rebar segments as required to support branches and upper portions of tree.
Wire mesh is fastened onto plywood to create the rough dimensional shape.
Concrete, shotcrete or gunnite can be first applied to the wire mesh to add strength to areas of potential impact or stress.
Steel support arms are welded into place for later installation of the tree branches.
Tree trunk and roots are coated and textured using the #307 FR-Lite.
Tree branches are constructed out ot welded steel rebar covered with wire mesh. The mesh is coated and textured with the #307 FR-Lite.
Finished branches are installed and seamed into place using the #307 FR-Lite.
Vines and additional themeing is scuipted using Polygem ZOOPOXIES.
