It is my favorite thing to do here and that is to introduce new and reformulated products and our new ARMORCOAT is both of these. ARMORCOAT is our Armorstone on 'steroids'. ARMORCOAT mil for mil is stonger, tougher and more durable that our Armorstone. It was specially formulated with tougher resins and internal reinforcement that makes ARMORCOAT hammer proof when applied to foam surfaces.
15 years ago, we were approached by the Handyman Club of America who wanted to review our LCR Liquid Concrete Repair kit and write about it and publish the article in their club magazine called American How-to. We were thrilled and excited about this opportunity, but the editor cautioned me in adding that they will write about the kit and the process involved in using the product, and if it works....they will write about all the good things and if it didn't work out well....then they will write about that. The article was a success and you can read all about it here at This Old House.
When they once said..."Go west young man" it was a bit of a surprise when our Director of Sales Mr. Dave Turkes informed us he was moving to California to be near his family. The net result is we now have a sales staff on the West coast to better serve our customers and Dave will have some inventory at his location that will allow customers in need to get our products more quickly. So give Dave a call....his direct line is (630) 346-4112
EPOXY OR POLYURETHANE FOAM? A casual debate often will arise over the use of either epoxy or polyurethane foam for foundation crack repair. Fixing a crack using the same high strength epoxy that professionals use is now easily done with the LCR Liquid Concrete Repair Kit. The repair is done from the inside using a standard caulking gun where with low pressure, you “inject’ the liquid epoxy into the crack, filling the entire inside of the crack top to bottom with a high strength epoxy. The epoxy cures and forms a “permanent” weld of the cracked concrete and water will not be able to re-enter the crack.
